God Holds Your Future With Gentle Hands

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
— Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

There is something deeply comforting about being truly known. Not just known in passing, but known by someone who has already thought carefully about your life, your struggles, and your tomorrow. That is exactly what God is saying here through Jeremiah. He is not reacting to your circumstances. He has already been thinking about you, and every thought He holds is one of peace.

It is worth remembering that Jeremiah wrote these words to people in exile, people who had every reason to feel forgotten and afraid. God did not dismiss their pain. Instead, He reached into the middle of their hardest season and reminded them that His plans had not changed. Difficulty does not cancel His intentions for your good. Waiting does not mean He has stopped working.

Whatever you are carrying today, bring it to this truth: the God who created the universe has directed His thoughts toward you specifically, and those thoughts are kind. He is not planning your harm. He is planning your hope. You do not need to have everything figured out, because He already does. Rest in that today. His plans are moving forward even when you cannot see them.

Today's prayer
Lord, I confess that I sometimes doubt Your goodness when life feels uncertain and long. Remind me today that Your thoughts toward me are peaceful and purposeful, not accidental. Help me trust Your plan even in the waiting, and anchor my heart in the hope only You can give.
