There is a phrase tucked into this verse that we can breeze past too quickly: "God so loved the world." Not a nation, not a select few, not the tidy and put-together. The whole world—every messy, wandering, hurting heart on it. That includes you, exactly as you are today.
Love like that doesn't stay distant. It moves. It gives. The Father didn't send a message from far away; He sent His Son, His most precious gift, into the middle of our story. That is what real love does—it shows up, it costs something, and it stays until the work is finished.
And the invitation is wonderfully simple: whosoever believes. Not the flawless, not the ones who have it all figured out—whosoever. That word was written for you. Wherever you are right now, whatever this news cycle or this week has stirred in you, you are held by a love that already reached down and will not let go. Rest in that today.
