We live in a world that constantly tells us we need more to be secure, more to be happy, more to finally rest. But Psalm 23 offers a different measure of enough. It is not the size of our storehouse that determines our peace, but the nearness of our Shepherd. He leads to green pastures not because we earned them, but because that is simply who He is.
Today, notice the places where you feel you are lacking. Bring them honestly to Him, not as a stranger who might help, but as the Shepherd who already knows your need before you speak it. He is not distant or distracted. He is present, attentive, and good, and in His care, want gives way to trust.
