Jeremiah wrote these words not to a comfortable people but to exiles far from home, wondering if God had forgotten them. Into that uncertainty came a promise: God's plans for them were good, filled with peace, and leading somewhere worth arriving. He had not lost track of them in the waiting.
We often measure our days by what we can see - the unfinished plans, the unanswered questions, the paths that seem to lead nowhere in particular. But this verse invites us to trust a wisdom larger than our own sight. The One who shaped the stars and numbers our days has not left our story to chance. He is authoring something good, even in seasons that feel unfinished.
This isn't a promise that every detail will look the way we imagined. It's a promise that the heart behind our story is kind, patient, and for us rather than against us. So today, whatever chapter you're in, you can breathe a little easier. The Author knows the ending, and it is good.
