Taste And See His Goodness Today

"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
— Psalm 34:8 (KJV)

There is a difference between hearing that a meal is delicious and actually sitting down to eat it. The psalmist invites us into that kind of firsthand experience with God—not just believing facts about Him, but tasting His goodness in the ordinary moments of our day. Faith becomes real when we stop merely discussing God and start noticing Him at work around us.

Maybe it's the quiet relief after a hard conversation, the unexpected kindness of a stranger, or the peace that settles in during prayer. These are small tastes of a goodness that runs deeper than any single moment. God isn't asking us to take a leap into the unknown; He's inviting us to sample His faithfulness and discover it's even better than we imagined.

Today, look for these tastes. Pay attention to the sunlight, the laughter, the answered prayer you almost overlooked. Each one is evidence that the God who made you is present, near, and abundantly good. Trusting Him becomes natural once you've experienced, again and again, that He can be trusted.

Today's prayer
Lord, open my eyes today to see the many small ways You are good to me. Thank You for being near in every ordinary moment, not distant or silent. Help me trust You more simply because I have tasted and seen how faithful You are.
