Good morning, Wednesday. The kettle is warm, the day is still folded like a clean shirt, and nothing has gone wrong yet. Stand in that quiet for a moment before you pick anything up.
"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." — Psalm 37:5 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Father, here is my day, small as a seed in my palm. I press it into your soil. The meeting I'm nervous about, the call I keep putting off, the work that feels half-finished: I push them down into the dirt and take my hands away. Keep me from digging them up at noon to check. You send the rain I could never schedule. You know the slow green work happening where I can't see. Let me walk through this Wednesday light-handed, doing the next small thing well, and smiling at how sure I am that you will bring it up. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Name one worry aloud, then leave it with God.
Do the next small task before checking the big one.
Resist peeking at the outcome before the day ends.
