Lie Down Tonight Without Fear

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Let the dishes sit in the rack and the phone stay dark on the nightstand. The email that didn't get answered will keep till morning; the load of laundry can wait in the basket. Close your eyes and let your shoulders drop an inch — the day is finished with you now.

"When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet."
— Proverbs 3:24 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Father, I set down everything I carried today. You saw the hard conversation, the tight budget, the worry I kept turning over. Your word says I can lie down and not be afraid, that my sleep can actually be sweet — not just unconscious, but restful, safe, held. So I'm trusting You with the hours ahead and with tomorrow before it even comes. Quiet my thoughts. Steady my breathing. Thank You for this bed, this roof, this small square of peace, and for loving me even on the days I forget to notice. Amen.
Blessing for your rest
Go to sleep now, held and unafraid — may your body rest and your dreams be kind. Peace over this house tonight, and peace over you until the sun comes up.

Have Providence read you to sleep
