The Lord Hums Over You Tonight

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Let the phone stop glowing and the day's clatter drain out through the floorboards. That email you meant to send, the errand still circled on the list — let them wait for morning light. Your shoulders can come down now; nothing left undone tonight is bigger than sleep.

"Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life."
— Psalm 42:8 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Lord, thank You for the kindness You poured over me today — small and steady, like sunlight through a kitchen window. Now the house is dim and my hands are still. I don't have a song of my own tonight, so let Yours settle over me instead, low and warm, the kind that hums beneath dreams. Quiet my racing thoughts. Steady my breathing. Remind me You are not far off in the dark — You are the God of my life, awake while I sleep. Thank You for another day lived, another night held safely in Your hands.
Blessing for your rest
Sleep deep, dear one, and let His steady kindness be the last thing you feel before your eyes close. May your home rest tonight under a melody only heaven can hear, and may morning find you all still wrapped in it.

Have Providence read you to sleep
