The Ledge Above the Storm Line

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Let the dishes wait in the sink and the half-answered texts wait on the counter. The calendar can keep tomorrow's list; tonight it doesn't need your eyes. Breathe out the traffic, the meetings, the noise — none of it followed you into this room.

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
— Psalm 91:1 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Father, I climb up into You tonight, like stepping under a rock ledge when the rain starts. You are the roof I didn't build and don't have to hold up. Take the tightness from my shoulders and the hum from my mind. I don't need to guard the door — You already are. Let me sleep small and safe in Your shade, forgetting my worries the way a child forgets a scraped knee once it's kissed. Thank You for this hidden, quiet place You keep just for me. Thank You for being near enough to stay in.
Blessing for your rest
Rest now, tucked under the shade of the Almighty — safe, unseen, and utterly kept. Goodnight, and may your whole house sleep covered.

Have Providence read you to sleep
