Let the unfinished list slide off the nightstand and onto the floor. The calls you meant to return, the errand still undone — tomorrow can pick those up when it arrives. Tonight's portion is done; there's nothing left to carry.
"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." — Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Lord, I hand You this day, the parts I finished and the parts I didn't. Thank You for giving me just enough light for today and not one worry's worth more than that. Tomorrow isn't mine yet, so I set it down at Your feet along with tonight's small failures and quiet joys. Teach me to trust that You'll be as present in the morning as You were at breakfast. I don't need to solve it all before I sleep. Thank You for rest, for bread that was enough, for a heart that can finally stop running. I'm grateful, Lord, simply grateful, and glad to close my eyes.
Blessing for your rest Rest easy tonight — tomorrow is already held in kinder hands than yours. Peace over this house, and over every worry you finally set down.
