Wednesday is here — coffee cooling on the counter, the day not yet spent. God was up before you, and He made this one on purpose. It has your name on it.
"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, You made this day with Your own hands. Not yesterday, not tomorrow — this one, with its particular light and its particular weight. I confess I sometimes drag myself into mornings like they are something to survive. Forgive me for that. Teach me to receive today as a gift I did not earn. Let joy be a choice I make before the noise starts. Where I face something hard before noon, remind me whose day this actually is. I want to be glad — really glad — not just polite about it. Thank You for this Wednesday. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Pause at sunrise and name one specific gift aloud.
Choose gladness before opening your phone today.
Tell someone: 'I'm glad to see you today.' Mean it.
