Before the Day Rushes In, Look Up

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Thursday is already here — the coffee is hot, the light is coming through, and the world is about to ask a hundred things of you. But this moment, right now, belongs to God. You opened your eyes and chose to look up first. That matters.

"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up."

This morning's prayer
Lord, my voice reaches You this morning before it reaches anyone else. That is a small act of faith, and I ask You to honor it. The day ahead holds meetings, responsibilities, worries I haven't named yet. I direct my face toward You before I direct it toward any of that. Steady my attention. Quiet the noise that is already gathering at the edges of my mind. Let me carry something of this stillness into the hours ahead. I am looking up. I trust that You are already looking back. Amen.
