Look Up Before the Day Looks Back

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

The coffee hasn't even finished dripping and here you are, awake enough to reach for God. Wednesday sits in front of you, unwritten. Before the phone lights up with everyone else's demands, let your voice be the first sound heaven hears from you today.

"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up."
— Psalm 5:3 (KJV)
This morning's prayer
Lord, here is my voice before the world asks anything of me. I set my words in front of you like a man laying tools on a table, ready to work but waiting for your hand first. I don't know everything this Wednesday holds, but you do. So I look up instead of down at my own worry. Steady my thoughts. Quiet the noise that hasn't even started yet. Let me walk into this day with my chin lifted, not from pride, but because I know you're already there ahead of me, in every room I'm about to enter. Hear me now, Lord. Amen.

Today, on purpose:
