Fed by Mercy Before the Day Starts

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

The coffee is still brewing and the house is quiet. Friday has arrived carrying its own weight, but before anything else asks for your attention, this hour is yours to sit still. Let the psalmist's plea become your own breakfast.

"O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days."
— Psalm 90:14 (KJV)
This morning's prayer
Lord, I come to You hungry before I've eaten anything else. Satisfy me early with Your mercy—not leftovers from yesterday, not rationed grace, but fresh kindness poured out before my feet hit the floor running. You know what this day holds: the meetings, the traffic, the tired moments after lunch. Fill me now so I'm not scraping for joy later. Let gladness sit in my chest like morning light in a window, steady and warm. Whatever this Friday brings, let it find me already fed, already glad, already Yours. Teach me to number my days rightly, starting with this one. Amen.

Today, on purpose:
