Good morning, friend. The house is still quiet, but something in you is stirring — like a harp waiting for a hand to touch its strings. Wednesday is here, and it wants a song, not a shrug.
"Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early." — Psalm 57:8 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, wake me up. Not just my eyes — my heart, my hope, my willingness to sing. David roused his own soul before the sun did, and I want that kind of eagerness today. Tune what's slack in me. Where I've gone flat with worry or dull with routine, restring me with joy. I don't want to drift into this day half-asleep to Your goodness. Let my first thoughts be praise, not panic. Wake my gratitude before my complaints get a running start. Play something good through my life today, Father — through my words, my patience, my small kindnesses. I'm ready. Strike the chord. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Say one true thanks out loud before checking your phone.
Do one task today with real attention, not autopilot.
