A Mind Kept Still Tonight

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

The dishes are still in the sink and the email will still be there tomorrow. Let the list on the counter stay unfinished — it doesn't need you right now. Just let your shoulders drop and your breathing slow.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
— Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Lord, I set the day down at your feet — the rushing, the worry, the words I wish I'd said differently. My mind keeps reaching for tomorrow before I've even closed my eyes; pull it back to you now. Keep me the way you promised, not because I've earned quiet, but because I trust you with what I cannot control. Steady my thoughts. Steady my heart. Let sleep come like a soft blanket, not something I have to chase down. Thank you for another day of your patience with me, and for this bed, this dark, this rest that costs me nothing. Amen.
Blessing for your rest
May your sleep run deep and your dreams stay quiet, and may this house hold nothing tonight but peace.

Have Providence read you to sleep
