Let the day empty out of you now — the emails still unread, the dishes in the sink, the errand you meant to run. None of it needs you anymore tonight. Set it all on the floor beside the bed and breathe.
"Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth." — Psalm 31:5 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Father, I give You my spirit tonight, the way a child hands over a tired little hand to be led home. You have redeemed me — not because I earned it, but because You are true, and Your word does not bend or break. I don't have to hold anything together while I sleep. You already hold it. Thank You for this day, messy and good, for breath that came easy and love that found me again and again. Thank You that tomorrow is already Yours too. I rest now, glad and unafraid, in Your faithful hands.
Blessing for your rest Go to sleep now, held and wanted — the Lord of truth has you, and He is not letting go. Peace over this house tonight, and joy waiting for you at first light.
