The dishes are still in the sink and the email you meant to answer is still unanswered — let it be. Fold up the list on the counter and set it by the door for tomorrow. Tonight your hands can finally open and let go of what they've been gripping all day.
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." — 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Father, I bring You my whole day — the parts I handled well and the parts I fumbled. You said to cast my cares on You, so here they are, every one, out of my hands and into Yours. I don't have to carry what You've already offered to hold. Thank You for shoulders bigger than my worry, for a love that doesn't tire of me, and for this soft bed and quiet room. Thank You for another day of breath and for tomorrow waiting, full of Your goodness. I rest easy knowing You care for me. Amen.
Blessing for your rest Sleep now, unburdened — the God who counts your worries as His own is wide awake and watching over this house. Goodnight, and rise tomorrow light.
