Set Your Tools Down by the Door

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

The day asked a lot of your hands and you gave it. Whatever didn't get finished can wait on the counter till morning. Untie your apron, kick off your shoes, and let the evening close its hand gently around you.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
— Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Lord, I heard You today — come to me, You said, all who labor and carry heavy things. So here I am, hands open, setting it all down at Your feet. Thank You for calling tired people, not just strong ones. Thank You for meaning it when You said rest, not someday, but tonight. Untie the knots in my shoulders. Quiet the list still running in my head. Let me trade my weight for Your ease, my hurry for Your hush. I'm grateful for this bed, this breath, this open invitation that never closes. Thank You for being a God who welcomes the worn-out home. Amen.
Blessing for your rest
Rest easy tonight — the door is open, the invitation stands, and your house is held safe in gentle hands. Sleep well, beloved; morning will find you rested and loved.

Have Providence read you to sleep
