The dishes are still in the sink and the email you meant to answer is still sitting there, blinking. Let it sit. Your body knows what your mind keeps arguing about — it's time to stop holding the rope and let someone stronger take the weight.
"Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth." — Psalm 31:5 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Lord, I give You what's left of this day — the parts I handled well and the parts I fumbled. You have never once lied to me, never broken a promise, never let go of what I gave You. So I'm not keeping watch over my own life tonight. I'm placing it in Your hands, the way You've already placed my redemption there. You bought me back once — surely You can keep me safe through one ordinary night. Thank You for being steady when nothing else is. Thank You for being true.
Blessing for your rest May the God of truth hold what you cannot hold yourself tonight, and may this house rest easy under hands that never let go. Sleep now, redeemed one — you are already safe.
