Throw the Net and Let It Sink

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

The phone stops buzzing, the dishes stay in the sink, and the email you meant to answer will still be there tomorrow. Your shoulders have been carrying the day like a sack of wet sand — the meeting that went sideways, the argument you keep replaying, the bill you can't quite cover. Let it slide off now. It was never yours to hold through the night.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
— 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Father, I've been gripping things all day that were too heavy for my hands. The worry about tomorrow, the ache from today, the fear I haven't said out loud — I throw it all toward you now, like a net cast into dark water. I trust you to hold what I can't carry. You know my name, my house, my heart, and you haven't looked away once. Untangle my mind from its knots. Let my breathing slow. Thank you for caring about the small, unseen weight I've been dragging. Thank you for being strong enough to keep it.
Blessing for your rest
May every worry you release tonight sink far from reach, and may you and everyone under your roof sleep light as children who know they are watched over. Goodnight — you are carried now.

Have Providence read you to sleep
