Your Heart Keeps Its Own Night Watch

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Let the phone go dark and the dishes wait until morning. The emails will still be there, the errands too, but for now your hands can rest open on the blanket. Breathe out the noise of the day — the traffic, the meetings, the words you wish you'd said differently — and let it settle like dust after a long walk.

"I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons."
— Psalm 16:7 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Lord, thank You for counsel that finds me even here, in the quiet. You know my heart better than I do, and You use these still hours to steady what the day left shaking. Untangle my worries while I sleep. Whisper Your wisdom into the small rooms of my mind where no one else can go. Remind me who I am and whose I am. I don't need answers tonight — just Your nearness. Thank You for loving me enough to teach me even in my dreams, and for a heart that still knows Your voice.
Blessing for your rest
May the Lord lean close tonight and instruct your heart in ways only love can teach, filling this house with quiet counsel and deep, unhurried rest. Sleep now, dear one — you are being watched over, and you are being taught.

Have Providence read you to sleep
