The dishes are still in the sink and the last email never got answered. Let it be. Your soul has been running errands all day long — pull it back in now, like calling a child home from the yard at dusk.
"Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee." — Psalm 116:7 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Lord, I've been carrying more than I needed to today. My hands are open now, and my mind can finally slow down. You have been good to me — good in ways I noticed and good in ways I probably missed. Thank you for the roof over my head, for breath in my lungs, for another ordinary day I got to live. I let go of the hurry. I let go of what I couldn't fix. Bring my soul back to rest tonight, right here, right where You are. Thank You for loving me before I ever asked. Amen.
Blessing for your rest Go to sleep now, and let your soul settle like dust after rain. May peace cover this house tonight, and may you wake tomorrow to find His kindness still waiting for you.
