The Compass Needle Settles Tonight

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Let the phone go dark and the day's noise go with it — the emails still unread, the errands still undone. Your mind has been spinning like a needle knocked off true, checking this, worrying that. Let it settle now, pointing toward the one steady thing.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
— Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Lord, my thoughts have been scattered all day — pulled here, pulled there, never quite still. Tonight I fix my mind on You, the way a compass finds its north and stops trembling. You promised perfect peace to the one who trusts You, and I want that peace now, in this quiet room, under this dark ceiling. Take my worries; they're small next to You. Take my plans; they can wait till morning. Thank You for being the still point my whole day was searching for. Thank You for holding me steady when I couldn't hold myself. I rest in You now, grateful and unafraid.
Blessing for your rest
May your mind stay fixed on Him through every hour of the night, and may your whole house rest easy, held in a peace that doesn't wobble. Sleep now, beloved — the needle has found its north.

Have Providence read you to sleep
