He Reaches to Take What You Carried

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

The dishes are still in the sink and the last email never got answered — let it wait. Your shoulders have been carrying since sunrise: the deadline, the argument you replayed twice, the worry about tomorrow's weather. Set all of it down now, right here at the edge of the bed, and let your hands finally rest empty.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
— Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Lord Jesus, You said come to You when I am tired and worn thin, and tonight I come. I hand You the weight I've been hauling all day — the list I didn't finish, the words I wish I'd said differently, the small fears that followed me around. Take them the way You promised, and give me the rest You promised too. Let my breathing slow. Let my mind stop pacing the same hallway of worries. Thank You for a bed to lie in, breath in my lungs, and a Savior who never turns away someone who's tired. I'm grateful, Lord. Goodnight.
Blessing for your rest
May the Lord lift every burden from your shoulders tonight and tuck peace in around you like a blanket. Rest well, dear one, and may your whole house sleep safe under His steady hand until morning.

Have Providence read you to sleep
