Your Feet Are Safe, His Eyes Stay Open

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Let the day fall off your shoulders like a coat by the door. The dishes can wait in the sink, the emails can wait in the inbox, the worry you carried up three flights of stairs can just sit down now. Your feet don't have to hold you up anymore tonight — the floor will do that, and so will He.

"He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."
— Psalm 121:3-4 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer
Father, I'm done standing for today. My legs are tired, my mind is tired, and I'm glad I don't have to keep either one steady through the night. You said You won't let my foot slip, and You won't doze off watching over me — not even for a minute. So I'm loosening my grip on everything I was holding so tight. Thank You for staying awake so I don't have to. Thank You for this bed, this breath, this ordinary safe evening. Thank You that Your care for me never clocks out. Goodnight, Lord. I'm Yours till morning.
Blessing for your rest
Sleep steady tonight, feet planted, heart unclenched — the One who loves this house is wide awake and delighted to keep it. Goodnight, and rise glad.

Have Providence read you to sleep
