Let the day fall out of your hands now — the emails still blinking, the load of laundry half-folded, the argument you keep replaying. None of it needs you anymore tonight. Breathe out slow, like you're setting down a heavy bag you've carried since morning.
"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day." — Psalm 91:5 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Lord, the night is here and I'm tired in the good way, the way that means I lived today. I don't have to guard the dark myself — You already stand watch over it. Whatever flew at me today, whatever might come tomorrow, You've named it and You're bigger than it. Quiet my mind from replaying what's done. Let me trust You with what I can't see coming. Thank You for this bed, this roof, this breath still moving in and out of me. Thank You for another day of being loved by You. I close my eyes grateful. Amen.
Blessing for your rest Sleep deep and unafraid tonight, you and everyone under your roof — no shadow gets the last word where God keeps watch. Wake up tomorrow to more of His kindness than you left behind tonight.
