Let the day go — the emails still marked unread, the load of laundry waiting on the chair, the argument you keep replaying. The lamp is low now, the phone face-down, the list can sleep too. Whatever your mind wants to circle back to, let it circle back to Him instead.
"When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches." — Psalm 63:6 (KJV)
Tonight's prayer Lord, my bed is soft and my thoughts are slow tonight. Before sleep takes me, I want You to be the last thing I turn toward. Like a watchman pacing quiet streets, let my mind make its rounds to You — through this hour, and the next, and whenever I wake before dawn. I don't need answers right now, only Your nearness. Thank You for a bed to lie on, breath to breathe, and a God who doesn't mind being remembered at midnight. I'm grateful You're already here, before I even finish this prayer. Amen.
Blessing for your rest May your thoughts settle on Him like a bird folding its wings for the night, and may this house rest easy under a watch that never sleeps. Goodnight — go gently, you are remembered.
