Satisfied With Mercy Before the Day Begins

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Saturday light is coming through the window, slow and pale. Before the coffee finishes, before the list starts, there is something better waiting for you — mercy, offered fresh this morning like bread still warm from the oven.

"O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days."

This morning's prayer
Lord, I come to You before this day fills up with noise and need. Satisfy me now, early, with Your mercy — not just the idea of it but the weight of it, the warmth of it settling into my chest. I am quick to reach for distraction before I reach for You. Forgive that. Fill the hollow places in me with something only You can give. Let gladness grow from that — not the forced kind, but the real kind that holds even when the day gets hard. You are enough. You have always been enough. Amen.
