Grief Is a Guest, Not a Landlord

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Saturday morning leans in through the curtains, unannounced and kind. Maybe last night left salt on your pillow. Sit up anyway — the light in this room came looking for you.

"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
— Psalm 30:5 (KJV)
This morning's prayer
Lord, You watched me last night when the dark felt long and heavy on my chest. Thank You for not leaving me there. Your anger, when it comes, passes like a quick storm — but Your kindness moves in and stays. Wipe the salt from my face this morning and put a new song where the ache was. Let me carry Your favor into every room I enter today. Where sorrow tried to settle in and unpack its bags, remind me it was only ever passing through. I want to laugh again, Lord, honestly, freely, because You are the God who turns nights into mornings. Amen.
