The Waiting Ones Outlast the Race

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Friday morning, and the coffee is still too hot to drink. Sit with that a moment. Some strength only comes to the ones who don't rush past it.

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
— Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
This morning's prayer
Lord, I come to you before the day asks anything of me. I don't want borrowed strength — I want yours. Teach me to wait the way a farmer waits for rain, without pacing, without panic. When my legs feel heavy today, remind me that you renew what is spent. Let me finish this day the way I start it: steady, unhurried, unafraid of the miles ahead. Where I want to sprint past you to get to my own plans, slow me down. Give me patience for the waiting, and strength for the running. I trust you with today. Amen.

Today, on purpose:
