Sunday light is easing through the curtains, patient as an old friend. Somewhere a kettle is already humming, waiting for you to notice it. Come sit a minute — Love got up before you did.

Lord, I come to You while the house is still quiet. You said You love those who love You, and that the ones who seek You early will find You. So here I am, hands empty, heart turned toward home. Thank You for not making me chase You through locked doors or long hallways. You meet me at the first step. Wake up my love to match Yours — quick, glad, unafraid. Let today be simple: I look for You, and You are already there, kettle on, door wide, waiting. Amen.
