The coffee's still ticking in the pot and your socks don't match yet, and that's fine. Monday found you again, and so did Someone bigger than Monday. He isn't waiting at the end of today — He's already standing in the middle of it, glad you're here.
"The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." — Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, You are mighty in the middle of my ordinary morning — not far off, not distracted, but here, close as breath. Thank You that You don't just tolerate me, You delight in me. Quiet my scrambling thoughts with the truth that You rest in love over my life, unhurried, unafraid, unashamed of me. Let that settle into my chest before I check a single message. Teach me to walk today the way You feel about me — glad, steady, unshaken. When trouble knocks, remind me You already answered before I asked. I receive Your joy as my strength this Monday. Amen.
Today, on purpose:
Say one true, kind thing before checking your phone
