Good morning, and welcome to Tuesday. The coffee is still brewing and already grace has been at work longer than you have. Rest a moment here before the day asks anything of you.
"O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble." — Isaiah 33:2 (KJV)
This morning's prayer Lord, I come to You before the noise starts. You are gracious, and I need that grace the way I need breath. I have waited on You through nights I didn't choose, and You never once left the room. Meet me now with fresh mercy, plain and unearned. Whatever trouble tries to knock today, let it find You already answering the door. Steady my hands, soften my words, and remind me that Your help doesn't punch a clock — it's simply there, every single morning, like light through a window. Make me quick to notice it. Make me quicker to thank You for it. Amen.
