Rise Before Your Excuses Do

🕊 Let Providence read it to you

Tuesday sits at the edge of your bed like a friend who came early. The coffee hasn't even finished dripping yet, and already you have a choice to make. Wake up first — before the worry does.

"Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early."
— Psalm 57:8 (KJV)
This morning's prayer
Lord, I choose to rise before my doubts do. David said he would awaken early, not wait to be dragged into the day, and I want that same eagerness this morning. Stir my glory — the part of me made in Your image — before the noise of the world gets a vote. Let my first thought be Yours, not my to-do list. Wake my gladness, wake my gratitude, wake my willingness to love the people I meet today. I don't want to catch up to the day. I want to meet it standing, awake, and glad it's mine. Amen.

Today, on purpose:
