Wednesday morning, and the kettle is already humming. Before the day asks anything of you, sit down and let mercy be the first thing you taste. This is the hour for full hearts, not half ones.

This morning's prayer Lord, satisfy me early. Don't let me wait until noon or nightfall to feel your mercy — pour it out now, over my coffee, over my quiet room, over these tired hands. Fill me so full of your kindness that gladness has nowhere left to hide today. Whatever this Wednesday holds, let joy get there first. Teach me to laugh easily, to forgive quickly, to notice small good things — a bird, a friend's text, sunlight on the table. I don't want a joy that waits for perfect days. Give me the kind that rejoices now, in this one, because you are already here. Amen.
